The World’s Best Waterpark? You’ll Find It in Bali
Bali isn’t short on world-class attractions, but one has just made a splash on the global stage.
Waterbom Bali has officially been ranked the #1 Waterpark in the World in Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best, an accolade fuelled entirely by glowing guest reviews. Not just the best in Bali, or even Asia, this water wonderland now holds the title across the entire globe!

Waterbom slid into third place on Tripadvisor’s list of the World’s Top 25 Amusement and Waterparks, meaning that they claim the crown as the world’s best waterpark! That means this Balinese gem outshone heavyweights like Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the US, Universal Studios Singapore, and Denmark’s Legoland Billund. For a park tucked into just five lush hectares in the heart of Kuta, it’s nothing short of extraordinary, triumphing over some of the biggest names in the business.
Since opening in 1993, Waterbom Bali has become more than a waterpark - it’s a Balinese institution. Designed to blend seamlessly with its surroundings, over half the park remains lush green space, with slides and attractions thoughtfully integrated among native trees and endangered plant species.

Today, the park features 28 slides, a redeveloped Kid’s Area, and guest favourites like the Lazy River, Pleasure Pool, and private gazebos. It also has four dining outlets spread across the park where visitors can enjoy fresh, locally sourced dishes cooked daily. Whether you’re chasing adrenaline or lounging by the pool, Waterbom caters to everyone: families, couples, thrill-seekers, and sun-chasers alike.

Stroll through the grounds and you’ll find carefully landscaped gardens, flowing water systems, and shaded areas that make it feel more like a tropical retreat than just a waterpark. This is Waterbom’s secret sauce: it isn’t just about the thrill of the slides, but about creating an experience that feels uniquely Balinese, grounding visitors in the island’s beauty while delivering world-class fun.
And long before sustainability was a buzzword, Waterbom was leading the charge by recycling and reusing water, running on renewable energy, and composting organic waste onsite to reduce waste to landfill. Its award-winning internal sustainability program, Karmic Returns, now drives an ambitious goal of reaching Net Zero by 2033, earning accolades from the PATA Gold Awards to Sustainable Business of the Year 2024.

But Waterbom isn’t just about eco credentials, it’s a place of joy, nostalgia and a healthy dose of adrenaline. For more than 30 years, it’s been the backdrop to family milestones, holiday highlights and countless “one more slide!” moments. Powered by its passionate “Waterbomers” crew, the park has grown and evolved alongside Bali itself, scooping up awards almost as fast as visitors race down its slides.
