You can hang and sun tan on the lawn from 11am onwards, while you watch the long board surfers slide along the Canggu waves, directly out front of the premises. Order bites and a carafe of sangria to share as you slip into another beautiful Bali sunset. Move indoors to wine and dine with your loved ones, and stay late into the night with cocktails and delicious food. What was lacking in Canggu before, is lacking no more. Sunday Sundowns have been taken to a whole new level, where casual meets classy and the ocean meets The Lawn.

Not quite a secret beach anymore but still slightly hidden due to its far-flung location, Dreamland, Balangans next door neighbour, remains a mention on our list. Following the development of the Pecatu Graha and New Kuta expansions, much has changed over the recent years. Still a favourite among local and international visitors, Dreamland also remains a favourite surf break. With the concrete and other developments aside, the cliffs, sand and blue still hark back to its pristine days when its moniker came to being.

This beach is accessible down a few flights of steps and through a limestone crevice beside a bridge. Across the road before the bridge, there is a spacious parking lot. Among the islands most favourite big surf breaks, Padang Padangs white sand beach offers a great view, and a small sandy area for sunbathing and doing just nothing. Local seafood warungs serve grilled fresh catches-of-the-day. It is a nice stopover if you have time along your visit to the Uluwatu Temple nearby.

Uluwatu Temple, or Pura Luhur Uluwatu, one of six key temples believed to be Bali's spiritual pillars, is renowned for its magnificent location, perched on top of a steep cliff approximately 70 metres above sea level. This temple also shares the splendid sunset backdrops as that of Tanah Lot Temple, another important sea temple located in the island's western shores. Pura Luhur Uluwatu is definitely one of the top places on the island to go to for sunset delights, with direct views overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean and daily Kecak dance performances. Balinese architecture, traditionally-designed gateways, and ancient sculptures add to Uluwatu Temple's appeal.

Uluwatu, Bali offers a beautiful mixture of beaches and cliff. Amongst it, the Kutuh Village presents the steepest cliff landscape overlooking the Indian Ocean. As the southern shore of the island, this place also harbors many secret beaches. Previously, it was hard to access but in 2004, the local government built infrastructure that allows visitors to reach the beaches. Pandawa Beach is one of these secret beaches. Named after the five knights of ancient Hindu legends, Pandawa Beach is one of the beaches that you should visit!

It's obvious that this cultural attraction is not yet finished but you can still enjoy the site which it offers. There's a limestone quarry which you will feel that you're in a desert or something. There was a television show currently filming when we were there and I guess this is a popular setting for TV shows as the backdrop of the whole complex is quite beautiful. There is a very big statue of the Hindu god Wisnu as the population of the island of Bali practices Hinduism. They say that it is the biggest statue of any kind in the whole island. Another statue worth taking pictures is the mythical bird Garuda. The place is a little bit out of way with other tourist…
