When it comes to Bali, people mostly comes for two things. The beach and the food. Though the cafe and restaurant scene in Bali impress me so much, I still feel their local food is the best one. Mostly their common local food is Nasi babi guling (suckling pig rice) or Nasi Ayam (chicken rice). Compare to other sucking pigs stores, Pak Dobiel's warung is the most humble one, but to me who has been their loyal customers everytime I visited Bali, their version of suckling pig's rice is the best one. Generous filling, good chilli, delicious! The only thing I don't like about them is how they prepare the food using bare hands and not with spoon. But, seriously, Pak Dobiel's suckling pig is…

Massimo draws his inspiration from the culinary tradition of his hometown in Southern Italy. He serves the mainstays of traditional Italian food, which not only look authentic, but also have the real taste of homemade Italian food. I don't do fancy food. I just love to carefully pick my produce and ingredients. That's how you get meals that taste real., says Massimo. Excellent Italian cuisine starts with the love for the product, yet Massimo's singular approach doesn't stop there. Time, he adds, is also a major factor in creating an exceptional taste. Commitment to quality means no frozen or processed ingredients and no pre-chopped produce. During peak hours, it could mean a little more waiting time, yet as many satisfied customers would readily attest, it's…

Situated in the heart of Seminyak and quoted as truly one of Bali’s most exquisite hotspots, La Favela opened its doors in mid 2013 and was again the brainchild of the hugely creative and talent husband and wife team, Gonzalo and Sandra Assiego. Originally a small shop and home, La Favela was designed and built over the course of 2 years. It was a labour of love “It was originally a nice house but structurally challenging, it required years of alterations and everyone said we were crazy but for Gonzalo, it was a passion. He built La Favela like he was building his own home. Nobody goes to that much effort just to make money. This very small place and this very complicated process became…

Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida Southeast of Bali, there is an island that is still largely untouched by tourism. With limited infrastructure and not many tourist sights, Nusa Penida is rather an off-the-beaten-track destination. Therefore it is a great place to escape the crowds of Bali and relax. Whether it' s while trekking in the beautiful hills of the island, staring at the limestone cliffs dropping off into the sea or diving in one of the world class sites.

Guyangan Waterfall is a very popular attraction located on the island of Nusa Penida, just off the west coast of Bali. It is a largely undeveloped island with only one resort having been built there. Right next door to Nusa Penida is Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan, two smaller islands situated closer to the coast of Bali. These islands have plenty more accommodation options and are a quite tourist friendly, so you may wish to stay there if you are planning a trip to visit Guyangan Waterfall. This waterfall will take your breath away and so will the journey there. Literally, if you don't like stairs or you are incapacitated in some way then this might not be the best adventure for you. There is…
