Why Day Zero Bali Is 2026’s Most Anticipated Music Events
Bali has long been a place where ritual, rhythm and spirituality intersect.

In April 2026, that energy takes on a new form as Day Zero, the globally revered electronic music gathering founded by Damian Lazarus, makes its Bali debut, bringing with it a reputation for immersive, sunrise-to-sunset experiences that blur the line between festival, ceremony and shared journey.
Set to take place on 17 April 2026 at GWK Cultural Park, Day Zero Bali marks a significant new chapter for an event that began deep in the jungles of Tulum and has since travelled to locations chosen as much for their energy as their scenery.
What Makes Day Zero Different
Unlike traditional music festivals, Day Zero is designed as a guided experience. The event unfolds gradually, moving from sunset into sunrise, with music acting as a narrative thread rather than a headline act. Each edition is shaped by its surroundings, with the location influencing not just the stage design, but the pacing, mood and intention of the night.

In Bali, that sense of balance feels especially fitting. Known for its deep spiritual traditions and reverence for harmony, the island provides a powerful backdrop for Day Zero’s philosophy of transformation through sound.
The Setting: GWK Cultural Park
Towering above Bali’s southern peninsula, GWK Cultural Park is one of the island’s most iconic cultural landmarks. Home to the monumental statue of the Hindu god Vishnu riding Garuda, the site carries a strong symbolic presence, one rooted in protection, balance and alignment between land and sky.

For Day Zero Bali, GWK becomes more than a venue. Its open-air setting, sweeping views and spiritual significance create a natural sense of ceremony, anchoring the event in place rather than removing it from its surroundings.
The Lineup for Day Zero Bali 2026
The Day Zero Bali 2026 lineup reflects Damian Lazarus’ signature curatorial style: genre-fluid, emotionally resonant and designed for long-form listening rather than quick hits.
Artists announced include Bonobo (DJ set), Âme (DJ), Jamie Jones, John Summit, Jan Blomqvist and Francis Mercier, alongside a diverse mix of selectors and live performers such as Acid Pauli, Kitty Amor, Meera, RYOTA, Satori and Bali-based artists including PNNY and Tina Colada.
As with every Day Zero edition, the journey culminates at sunrise, with Damian Lazarus himself guiding the final moments, a defining ritual of the experience and one that has become synonymous with the event worldwide.
Savaya Group and Bali’s Creative Evolution
Day Zero Bali is presented in partnership with Savaya Group, whose venues and projects have played a key role in shaping Bali’s contemporary electronic music landscape. Known for blending music, design and setting, Savaya Group’s involvement reflects a shared commitment to creating experiences that feel intentional rather than transactional.
Day Zero Week in Bali
Beyond the main event, Day Zero Week will run from 14-19 April 2026, featuring a series of satellite gatherings, rituals and celebrations across the island. While details are yet to be announced, previous editions suggest a mix of intimate parties, cultural moments and collaborative events that extend the experience beyond a single night.

Day Zero Bali isn’t about scale or spectacle alone. It’s about how music can create shared moments of presence, where location, sound and community align.
For those drawn to Bali not just for its beaches, but for its deeper rhythms, Day Zero 2026 offers a rare opportunity to experience the island through a different lens, one shaped by intention, movement and the quiet power of gathering together at first light.
