Step Into Seminyak’s New Design-Driven Escape

Seminyak has always been one of Bali’s most magnetic enclaves, a place where design, energy, and culinary experimentation coexist beneath endless sunsets.

Now, there’s a new address defining that rhythm: KLEO Seminyak, Southeast Asia’s first JdV by Hyatt hotel. Officially opened on 18 September 2025, the boutique property embodies the JdV brand’s signature joie de vivre spirit - a celebration of connection, creativity, and community, brought to life in Bali’s most dynamic neighbourhood.

From the moment guests arrived at the Grand Opening, it was clear KLEO isn’t just a hotel; it’s a social heartbeat. The evening unfolded across the rooftop with live DJs, saxophone melodies, cabaret performances, and acrobatic showcases that captured the neighbourhood’s eclectic pulse.

The energy moved seamlessly from the rooftop pool to the bar, where cocktails flowed at Rooftop Social and wood-fired pizzas from Chef Maurizio Bombini’s Zia Tina evoked the warmth of southern Italy. The result was a celebration that blurred the lines between locals, creatives, and travellers, a true reflection of Seminyak’s communal soul.

According to General Manager Christiane Ferger, KLEO’s debut is all about connection. “From design-forward rooms to Chef Maurizio’s culinary vision and our rooftop sunsets, every detail is meant to spark connection and celebrate the joy of Seminyak,” she said, a sentiment that resonates throughout the hotel’s design and experience philosophy.

Inside, KLEO’s 60 rooms are described as “scented love letters to Seminyak’s soul.” Each combines bold mid-century modern lines with warm, eclectic hues and Zen-inspired bathrooms that invite relaxation. Sculptural wall art, locally crafted amenities, and unexpected details transform every space into a sensory journey, one that feels both indulgent and deeply personal.

KLEO’s culinary core is Zia Tina, a southern Italian dining experience led by Chef Maurizio Bombini. Here, handmade pastas, produce-driven dishes, and wood-fired specialties are served with a distinct sense of nostalgia - casual, soulful, and rooted in the joy of gathering.

Upstairs, Rooftop Social offers a Riviera-style escape where retro-modern design and Seminyak’s sunset skyline meet. With its breezy poolside setting and open-to-all energy, it’s fast becoming a new go-to for locals and guests alike.

Beyond its own walls, KLEO continues to connect with its community through the KLEO Neighbors initiative - a curated showcase featuring collaborations with local icons like Eazy Bar, Deli Island, and Seasalt Seminyak.

Perfectly situated just moments from Petitenget Beach, Seminyak Village, and Alila Seminyak’s Beach Bar, KLEO invites guests to immerse themselves in the pulse of the neighbourhood while offering a calm, design-led retreat above it all. Whether it’s a rooftop pool day, an Italian-inspired long lunch, or simply a quiet morning coffee overlooking the city’s golden glow, KLEO redefines the boutique hotel experience in Seminyak - playful yet sophisticated, intimate yet alive.

To celebrate its opening, KLEO has introduced a series of experiences that embody its easygoing luxury. Guests can enjoy a Seminyak Pool Day Pass, complete with food and beverage credit and rooftop access, or indulge in Zia Tina’s daily specials, from cappuccino-and-croissant mornings to pizza-and-cocktail pairings at sunset. Longer stays are rewarded with extended perks, while World of Hyatt members can earn bonus points through the end of the year, all designed to make every visit feel effortless and personal.

At its heart, KLEO Seminyak isn’t just a new hotel, it’s a contemporary reflection of Bali’s coastal creativity. It’s where modern design meets island energy, and where guests are invited to stay, swim, and savor the art of living well in Seminyak.
