Rumour Has It These Are Bali’s Most Anticipated Openings for 2026

Bali never really stands still; it evolves quietly, behind the scenes.

As the island continues to refine its hospitality offering, 2026 is shaping up to mark a new phase, one defined less by expansion and more by design-led, experience-driven destinations that reflect how travellers want to stay today.

From global hotel brands making highly targeted moves to new beachfront concepts and low-key luxury retreats, these upcoming openings suggest a Bali that’s becoming more confident in prioritising quality, character and sense of place.

Here’s what’s on the radar right now.

Paradisus Bali

International hotel group Meliá is bringing its Paradisus by Meliá brand to Bali, marking a significant step in the island’s luxury all-inclusive evolution. Known for its contemporary design, elevated dining and wellness-focused programming, Paradisus properties globally are positioned as immersive resorts rather than traditional stay-and-leave hotels.

While full details are still emerging, the Bali opening suggests a shift toward more curated, experience-rich resort stays, appealing to travellers who want everything thoughtfully considered in one place.

Kimpton Ubud

The arrival of Kimpton in Ubud feels like a natural fit. Part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, Kimpton is known globally for its boutique sensibility, design-forward interiors and strong food-and-beverage focus. Set to open in Ubud, the property is expected to blend Kimpton’s signature personality-driven approach with the area’s jungle landscapes and cultural depth, offering a more intimate, lifestyle-led alternative to large-scale resorts in the region.

Elle Resort & Beach Club

Fashion meets hospitality with Elle Resort & Beach Club, a concept that leans into style, leisure and coastal living. While details remain intentionally light, the branding points to a resort experience shaped by design, fashion and social energy, likely targeting travellers who value aesthetics as much as location. Positioned as both a resort and beach club destination, it’s one to watch for those tracking Bali’s ever-evolving beach culture.

Zumana Bali

Announced by Savaya Group, Zumana is set to become a new beachfront destination on Kuta Beach, a notable development in an area undergoing quiet reinvention. While Savaya is best known for its clifftop venues, Zumana signals a move toward a broader hospitality footprint. Early information suggests a lifestyle-driven concept combining dining, leisure and beachfront access, adding fresh energy to one of Bali’s most iconic coastlines.

Umi Resort, Uluwatu

Umi Resort is shaping up to be a refined addition to Uluwatu’s growing luxury scene. Designed as a boutique-style retreat, the resort focuses on privacy, calm and considered design, aligning with Uluwatu’s shift away from party-only perceptions toward a more balanced mix of wellness, surf culture and quiet luxury. It’s one for travellers seeking space and subtlety rather than spectacle.

Hyde Bali, Seminyak

Global lifestyle brand Hyde is set to land in Seminyak, bringing with it a reputation for creative energy, music-driven experiences and a strong social pulse. Hyde properties worldwide are known for blending hotel stays with nightlife, dining and cultural programming, making this opening particularly interesting for Seminyak, where the line between stay and scene has always been blurred.

Taken together, these upcoming openings point to a Bali that’s becoming more nuanced. Less about how much is new, and more about how thoughtfully it’s done.

If these rumours and announcements are anything to go by, 2026 will be a year where Bali continues to sharpen its identity, offering travellers more depth, more distinction and more reasons to return.

And as always, we’ll be watching closely.
