‘Scattered Trails’ is a small attempt to retrace the origin of inspiration by showcasing a record of an artistic encounter between 2 visual artists who came from different generations and cultural backgrounds.
Gus Punia is a Balinese artist who was born to a family of Brahman in 1979. Today he lives in his hometown, - Jembrana and from time to time he also serves as a Hindu priest’s attendant. Philippe Janssens was born in Belgium 1943 and raised by a gypsy mother who believed in premonition and omens. Since 1998, he moved to Bali and ives in Kemenuh Village, Sukawati while working as a ethnic string instrument maker and practicing his passion on visual art exploration.
