Nikkei Nights with Chef Angelo from Opia
Experience the first in an amazing series of Nikkei chef collaborations, upstairs at SugarSand.
Since its inception Nikkei cuisine has been a dialogue between the Japanese and the Peruvian cultures. Japanese migrants creating dishes that marry the simplicity and precision of Japanese culinary techniques with the Andean tubers, chillies, and fresh seafood of Peru.
For the first edition of Nikkei Nights we have invited Chef Luis Angelo from Opia in Jimbaran. One of the new generation of Peruvian chefs promoting the spread of the country's cuisine, he successfully fuses local ingredients with his Nikkei expertise, creating a unique array of dishes and flavour sensations.
This is a 7-course tasting menu, and optional cocktail pairing with specially curated creations from Sufian Mahmoud.
