Empty Bowl Project & Farmer's Market
Sharing is one of Moksa's values: we believe that sharing and giving will make this life more meaningful. In the spirit of GIVING, Moksa has collaborated with Gaya Ceramic Arts Center, Gaya Ceramic and Design, and Gaya Gelato to host an "Empty Bowls" event here at Moksa Restaurant.
All the proceeds from the sales will be donated to a local Non-profit organisation "Yayasan Cahaya Mutiara" Tampaksiring. Check out their FB athttps://www.facebook.com/yacahayamuu/
This year's Empty Bowls also marks the official commencement of a long-standing attitude of collaboration between Moksa Restaurant, Gaya CAC, Gaya CAC, and Gaya Gelato. Today's bowls will be "filled" with treats courtesy of Moksa and Gaya Gelato. Forthcoming, a discount voucher will be available to all our clientele, linking these four families and encouraging your exploration of each!
The history of "Empty Bowls":
Similar to many ceramic studios around the world, Gaya Ceramic has begun a tradition of making the simplest and humblest form of a bowl into a metaphor for giving and receiving. The bowls you see here for sale were made by many hands: production studio staff, resident artists, and studio community members alike put their skills and intentions together to create these vessels. By filling your bowl (with something delicious and rewarding) whilst you fill another’s bowl with your donation, we all partake in the circle of giving and receiving. This is the third Empty Bowls fundraiser offered by Gaya Ceramic.
Thank you in advance for joining us!
