Cultural Evening at Hotel Tugu Bali
Join us for a Cultural Evening today with Hotel Tugu Bali with a special dance performance designed to revive and preserve the almost forgotten stories from the past.
The dances will be:
Wiranata - The dance depicts the heroism and glory of a Balinese king. Through a combination of vibrant and dynamic moves, this dance demands the dancers' agility and expertise in expressing the polarising character of the king’s gentle and hardship paths.
Topeng Keras – Keras means “rigourous” in this dance that represents the aggressiveness and tough character of a Balinese knight. Observe the colours of the mask, brown and red, which are heavily used to portray the knight’s strong characters.
Legong Kuntul – This dance is homage to the hundreds of herons that have made Petulu, Ubud their home. Legong comes from the word "leg" and "gong", - "Leg" meaning "graceful movement", while "gong" is the sound of the drums from the gamelan instruments.
