The mission of Zest Ubud is to empower Bali through cuisine. We're here to bring flavours to our visitors' life by preparing simple and tasty combinations of locally grown whole food and plant-based cuisine, as part of our powered by plants ethos. The menu focuses on the Balinese legacy of roots, shoots, and fruits, lowering the carbon impact of imported items utilised in the bulk of the food business.
Chef Simon Jongenotter has created an original meal for us. He has built a 100-acre Food Forest in Bali, which provides Zest in part. We don't use flour in our cooking. Not even rice flour will suffice. There is no refined sugar in this recipe. There are no harmful oils, such as palm oil that has been treated. No meat, dairy, eggs, or other animal products are allowed. Moringa from Tabanan, Soursop from Tejakula, and Cassava from any Balinese backyard are all used in our recipes.
We want to bring people together via cuisine. We wish to provide a straightforward and authentic experience that links visitors to Bali's enchanting tastes. Through our carefully designed meals, we also seek to reconnect people with Nature and bring them joy and happiness. Oh, and we enjoy listening to good music. Come and have some fun!
