Y.P.A.C., the residential school for children with physical and intellectual disabilities was founded by Nyonya Sukarmen in October 1975.

Nyonya Sukarmen is the wife of the then govenor of Bali and had the support of her close friend, Ibu Ardhini Suardana .

By April of 1981 YPAC Bali was officially acknowledged by the Indonesian Government, as a Yayasan/Foundation and children’s home, and given the registration number 24/SK/P/81.

In 1985 a field of 10 are (10,000 m2), was purchased in Jimbaran, and a school was built.

Today approximately 55 children, with a variety of abilities, and from ages 6 to 22, are taught at the school.
The girls’ and boys’ dormitories provide residential accommodation up to 8 young women and 14 young men.
