Restaurant Locavore, Ubud
Restaurant Locavore Ubud's chefs share a love for creating modern European cuisine using high-quality local ingredients. This idea is already well-known in the West, and while it is still relatively new in Indonesia, where most chefs rely on costly imported ingredients, they are happy to be among the first to deliver high-end and locally produced food to Indonesian kitchens. A lot has been accomplished in Locavore's first year, which they intend to expand on in order to continue impressing our visitors and making steps in spreading this idea across the country. They began working together in Jakarta over five years ago and eventually realised that cooking using foreign goods just didn't make sense.
Their ingredient-driven meal pays tribute to the farmers, fishers, and craftspeople they've encountered along the way. They assure the freshest chemical-free seasonal vegetables and ethically fed meat animals by creating long-term ties with local growers. Locavore is also a real member of its community since it supports local farmers and craftspeople. Reservations are strongly advised; normally, you should be able to get a table 2-3 weeks in advance.
They are very thankful for the interest everyone has shown in Locavore but without a confirmed booking they will regrettably have to release the table to other guests. Locavore is a small and cozy restaurant operated by a team of highly dedicated food enthusiasts whose primary goal is to ensure their guests savor their experience at Locavore while dining on artistically prepared, fresh and highly enjoyable dishes. Part of that process is to source 95% of their products locally and not to keep large stocks but rather to source as much
