Deliciously fun, interactive and suitable for everyone: take home a taste of Bali... plus a few secret local recipes. Sampling the local culinary delights is a highlight of any visit to Bali – but thanks to the Jimbaran Bay Cooking Academy, guests can now take a taste of authentic Indonesian know-how home with them too.

This Four Seasons professional stand-alone cooking school gives food lovers of all ages and experience levels the hands-on opportunity to discover secret local cooking techniques using organic Indonesian ingredients. Many of the herbs, spices and vegetables used in the class are sourced from the Resort's on-site gardens. All of the original recipes are from our talented team of Four Seasons chefs who come from regions across the country.

Whether an individual indulgence, a couples’ bonding experience or fun family activity, the classes are guaranteed to treat your taste buds while expanding your culinary skills. In addition to the daily cooking classes,  the school offers a kids’ pastry class once a week, focusing on Indonesian desserts.

  • Optional tour of the Jimbaran Fish Market (9:00 am)
  • Tour of herb and vegetable gardens (weather-permitting)
  • Gather in the kitchen (10:30 am) to begin creating a full five-course meal
  • Enjoy dishes together for lunch around the communal dining table or in the shaded courtyard
  • Daily rotating traditional menus: Bali (x2), Java, Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi and Sumatra (ask the Concierge for details on scheduling)
