Dandelion (pronounced dan-dee-lye-on) was born in Bali in 2008. A wild growing plant that you find locally, pick one and enjoy blowing the seeds from the stem, watching them float on the breeze.
The idea to create the brand DANDELION stems from a trio of dynamic individuals with complementing backgrounds (textile design, visual merchandising and marketing) who combine their know-how in order to create a children's line that surpasses fashion and bears in mind those destined to wear the clothes, that is the children.
Our focus is to boost the experience of being a kid by designing looks so that each one receives a positive effect, whether it be playing, dancing, running, crawling, all our designs are everyday favorites with a "wear them now" attitude. We therefore believe clothes should have a large element of fun. DANDELION caters to kids by creating playful t-shirts with stimulating prints that children identify with. All pieces are individually manufactured by hand and finished with the greatest care. We strive to use natural fibers where possible and we are committed to sourcing the finest quality.
DANDELION is a harmony of European style with an Australian flavor. Collections are styled in France and then produced in Indonesia. Gabrielle Morabia, an Australian travels the globe frequently and thus takes her inspiration from many different sources. One home in the sunny south of Provence, the other amidst the sea views of Sydney - colors & styles providing ample stimulation and creativity.
One of DANDELION's secret is the simplicity of its design, managing to create a comfortable style in clothes and accessories. Team this with a story to introduce each collection, each one is able to speak the look and the language of children.
Since the beginning DANDELION has succeeded in finding a special coherence between the brand's spirit, it's business and social responsibility. From this perspective, we contribute to women's need organizations and orphanages, who love receiving our children's clothes and we contribute financially to fundraisers so improvements can be made for families who need it most. Our aim is to create a thoughtful company, one that is in tune to its employees and the effects of its activities.
The brand has gained notable recognition in the southern hemisphere and is excited to launch internationally in 2013. The range will extend into a cosmopolitan collection, injecting designs suited to cooler climates.
