There is no doubt that Bali has its share of perfect Insta backdrops. Temples, mountains, waterfalls, sunsets, rice paddies, endless beaches and ‘to dive for’ infinity pools - make the island a favourite spot for selfie stars and serious snappers. Here is our list of top spots in #paradise so you can do it for the gram:

 

 

 

Insta loves Bali’s infinity pools - its all about bikinis, bods and the back to camera pose. For the ultimate shot, head to The Hanging Garden of Bali - voted one of the world’s best swimming pools. This double level infinity pool is superb from above and always a hit. Jungle Fish is all about the ‘no beach - beach club’ all set in the magnificent jungles of Ubud with a jaw-dropping backdrop and super sexy clientele. Or how about a drone shot in the glass bottom infinity pool at The Edge Hotel in Uluwatu.

 

 

Bali delivers superb Instasunsets and sundowners - so head to Uluwatu’s hot new OMNIA Dayclub, for hot bods, sunset beats and bikinilicious backdrops. On the Pecatu coast, El Kabron’s Cliff Club, is a sun seeker must do with jaw-dropping clifftop views or just bean bag it and go technicolour at La Plancha Beach Bar.

 

 

 

The picture-perfect Motel Mexicola, tropical modernist Mecca Potatohead and the super chic Rock Bar Bali overlooking the Jimbaran coast - all deliver up Insta eye candy. Or for superhot 80’s looks the newest kid on the block Tropicola brings fresh vibes and a golden Seminyak beach backdrop. And for the ultimate clifftop sundowner it never gets better than the legendary Single Fin at Uluwatu.

 

 

 

Now, we all know The ‘Gu loves the gram so head to The Lawn, Love Anchor, Finns, or Lacalitaand nail the perfect shot. Or head to the super cute Sea Circus or KYND Community, in Seminyak for more boho trop vibes and Insta friendly eats. 

 

 

 

Bali’s myriad of waterfalls provide spectacular cascades and crystal clear waters to float in. Only bikini bodies need apply for these backdrops so head North to Tengenungan, Banyumala, Git-Git, Sekumpul, NungNung, or Munduk - there are loads to choose from for that perfect shot.

 

 

Bali’s rice paddies and ridge walks are top Instagram photo ops. Ubud’s super photogenic landscape is highlighted by the Campuhan Ridge Walk- its paved path and green vistas will have you snapping away. Or head to the Monkey Forest, the nearby Palace and finish it all off with a happy snap at the gorgeous Bambu Indah or better get the ultimate sunrise shot when you book one their 5-star tents overlooking the jungle.

 

 

The nearby Tegalalang Rice Terraces are home to the Instafamous “I Love Bali Sign”. Or head further afield to the UNESCO listed Jatiluwih Rice Terraces for the greenest backdrop you will ever see.

 

 

Maybe it’s a childhood thing but everyone loves swings! Anyone on Insta knows the sunset swing on Gili T as one of the most famous in Indonesia. And Bali Swing in Ubud will also have you flying over the jungle.

 

 

Danau Buyan Selfie Park is part of a new setup in North Bali - a series of selfie props to use that all come with gobsmacking views of the lakes and mountains beyond. Take all your pics in bamboo nests, on pirate boats and in swings. Popular with locals and tourists and super busy on Sundays.

Get island-bound and head to Nusa Penida for the ultimate Instagrammable hot shots - Angel’s Billabong, Blue Stairs, Broken Beach, and Kelingking Beach. Get there early to avoid the crowds.

 

 

Temples and palaces are popular spots to drag out the selfie stick. Tirta Gangga Water Palace  and 'Gates of Heaven' at Lempuyang Temple with the majestic Mount Agung towering behind it are all over Insta. Tanah Lot is a stunner at sunset.
