This year Easter falls on Sunday, 21 April 2019 and with Anzac day on the 25th, take three days of annual leave and you could be heading to Bali for 10 days. Yep! Or if you have kids and you’re thinking of a School Holiday escape, put Bali on the top of your travel list.

I’ve had my fair share of Easter holidays—with and without kids. Here are some personal recommendations (organised by area) for families and solo/group travellers so everyone can have a great time.

Pro Tip: Bali at this time of the year tends to get a bit busy so I’d definitely suggest booking our trusty airport transfers in advance so you can be picked up from the airport in style and not have to worry about finding taxis.

I love having a family Easter brunch in Seminyak because there are so many options. This year, Seasalt is offering a Sunday brunch with a dessert station and an easter egg hunt so you can relax and make good use of the free-flow Prosecco while the kids search for chocolate easter eggs.

I’d also recommend our amazing day tours with our expert guides so you can explore the island easily. The Eat, Pray, Love Tour and Monkey Forest Tour are popular, family-friendly options and can be booked with little notice.

Spending Easter solo or with your mates? Start your day at Clean Canteen and grab one of their famous acai bowls then head over to Potato Head Beach Club for tropical vibes and summer anthems. Mrs Sippy’s also throwing a couple of glamorous pool parties to celebrate their birthday month!

Whenever Simon and I are in Canggu with the kids, we head over to La Casita or Berawa’s Kitchen for brekkie and let our little one go wild in the outdoor playground—it’s a win-win!

If you’re an underground technohead, don’t miss out on The BPM Festival, one of Europe’s biggest music festivals held at Jungle Pool Club. Or hop to Old Man’s beachfront beer garden for some Easter-special bucket deals and a laidback sunset sesh!

Celebrate the holiday in true Easter spirit with family surfing lessons at Kima Surf Camp. Or, head to our favourite Sundays Beach Club—the kids will love the Easter-special games and you’ll love the all-day cocktail promos. Travelling with your crew? Go ahead and splurge a little on our Sundays VIP Experience for private seating and F&B credits!

If your idea of Easter is a weekend of heart-thumping beats and breathtaking views, you’ll want to be at one of Uluwatu’s hottest cliffside clubs. Grab a Ulu Cliffhouse F&B voucher for discounted food and drinks or join OMNIA’s anniversary party with award-winning, Martin Garrix who will kick off your Good Friday with a killer set.
