We will continue the route until we reach Goa Gajah or the Elephant Cave, a temple with an entrance built in the 9th century that includes a spring and the 7 sacred fountains that represent the 7 sacred rivers of India. The figures carved on the stone facade at the entrance to the temple guard the evil spirits. It is said that the main figure was an elephant, hence the name of the temple. Although other versions say that the temple receives this name due to a statue of the Hindu god Ganesha (with elephant head).

We will continue exploring the southern part of Ubud with a visit to a traditional Balinese house in Singapadu. The owners of the house will open the doors of their home to show us the daily life of a local family: how is the kitchen, the patio, the family temple, the rooms, the garden, how the offerings are prepared. A good opportunity to meet the daily life of a native of Bali.

The route of this visit also passes through the sacred spring of Tirta Empul, built around the 10th century and that has different sacred water ponds, which springs directly from the earth, and 30 suppliers in which to complete the purification. Discover every step of this sacred ritual. In high season we usually change the visit to the Tirta Empul Spring for the Sebatu Spring, with less tourist influx.

We will walk through the Tegalalang rice paddies on the outskirts of Ubud where there is also one of Bali's many swings. The swing of this rice paddy has beautiful views and there is always time to take some pictures.

We will start the day attending the performance of a typical Balinese dance, the Dance of the Barong in the town of Batubulan. This typical dance represents the perpetual struggle between good and evil and is a very colorful and unique live traditional music show in the world.
